A working draft. These terms describe how the site and shop are meant to work, but they haven't been through a legal review yet. Please have a professional look them over before launch.
By using this site, browsing the shop, or downloading a pattern, you're agreeing to the ground rules below. I've tried to keep them plain and fair.
Orders and payments are handled through Shopify's secure checkout. Prices and availability can change, and handmade goods are made in small monthly batches — when a drop sells out, it's sold out until the next one. I do my best to describe everything accurately, but colors and small details can vary from screen to hand, the way handmade things do.
When you buy a printable PDF pattern, it's yours to use for your own sewing and small-scale making. Please don't resell, share, or redistribute the pattern file itself. You're welcome to sell a reasonable number of finished items you've made from it — just made by you, not mass-produced. The design and instructions stay mine.
The free tutorials are shared in good faith to help you make things. You follow them at your own risk — please use tools, machines, and materials safely and within your own comfort and ability. I can't be responsible for how a project turns out or for any injury or damage along the way.
Some links are affiliate links (mostly Amazon), and I may earn a small commission when you shop through them, at no cost to you. Links out to other sites — Amazon, Eventbrite, and the like — lead to places I don't run, so their terms and privacy practices are their own.
The writing, photos, patterns, and artwork on this site are mine unless noted otherwise. Enjoy them, share a link, pin a project — but please don't republish or sell them as your own.
These terms may change over time; the "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version.
This site is run from Biloxi, Mississippi, and these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi.
If anything here is unclear, email me at bourntocreate@gmail.com — happy to explain.
