A working draft. This policy describes how the site is built to handle your information, but it hasn't been through a legal review yet. Please have a professional look it over before launch.
I'd rather keep this simple, because the honest version is short: I collect as little as I can, I don't sell your information, and the few services I lean on to run the shop and the newsletter are named right here so you know exactly who touches what.
Your payment details never touch this website. When you check out, you're handed off to Shopify's secure, PCI-compliant checkout, and your card information is processed entirely on their side. I never see it, store it, or have any way to.
A small, trusted set of companies makes this site work. Each one only sees the piece it needs:
Some links in the journal and on the "Shop My Favorites" page are affiliate links, mostly through the Amazon Associates program. If you buy something through one, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes what I recommend — I only point you at things I actually use.
The site uses only what it needs to work — remembering your cart between pages, and anonymous analytics. Nothing follows you around the internet.
You can unsubscribe from emails whenever you like using the link at the bottom of any of them. You can also ask me to see, correct, or delete the information I hold about you — just email bourntocreate@gmail.com and I'll take care of it.
This site is meant for grown-ups and isn't directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information.
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top will change with it.
